Everybodys' Place

Outdoor project volunteers needed for Good News Community site in Bacliff. Projects include building cedar fence, debris removal, yard work (mowing/weeding). Work/school groups welcome. Ages: high school and up unless supervised by a parent.
Weekday volunteer office support needed one day/week (day is flexible). Duties would include filing, scanning documents, writing thank you notes, etc.

Galveston Urban Ministries

Volunteers to help teach students music: piano, guitar, and vocal after school, 1x/week.
They are looking for Keyboards, drum sets, acoustic guitars, ukulele for the youth after-school program helping students' mental health through music.
They need assistance with Youth Programming. This is everything from mentorship, Bible Study leaders, van driving, cooks, games, etc.
On February 21 from 9am to 1pm they are having a mission day, helping an elderly neighbor with her yard work. Join us and bring tools!

Hope House Texas

Business Class Instructor - Instruct a 1-hour class covering Resume Building, Interview tips, proper attire, and follow-up. Classes may require more than 1 hour and can be done in up to 4 one-hour sessions if needed.
Life Coach Instructor - Instruct a 1-hour class covering Personal Goals, Accountability, and Structure. Classes may require more than 1 hour and can be done in up to 4 x 1 hour sessions if needed.
Provide Transportation as needed, and if schedule permits.
Baking Class Instructor - 1-2 hour class monthly.
Crafts Instructor - 1-2 hour class monthly - introduce how to make items that can be sold at Farmers Markets.

Hope Village

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunity- small groups to play games, do crafts, etc., with the Villagers. Groups during business hours are preferred (great work team-building opportunity!), but other arrangements can be made with advance notice.
Groups or individuals to teach a craft, Storytime, yoga, etc., on a regular basis. (Minimum 1x a month)
Resale Shop Volunteers – (Minimum 1 day a month)
Fun Friday Sponsorships - every Friday lunch and activity for all their Villagers (75 total)

Ongoing volunteer opportunities.
Group to clean, organize, and paint. (HS age and up)
They are always open to speaking engagement opportunities.

Advisory Board Member
Someone to install two large mirrors.
Client Advocates
Group to clean, organize, and paint. (HS age and up)

Lighthouse Christian Ministries

Volunteer to deliver food to homebound seniors (one Tuesday/month 10a-12p).
Volunteers to help host a one-day "Blessing Closet" for their neighbors in need, TBD for Resale Ministry.
Sign In neighbors via Link2Feed during pantry hours, one or more shifts a week. Mon - Tues 10am to 2pm, Wed - Thurs 1pm - 4pm.
Grocery Donation Pickup. Reach out for details.

Project Joy and Hope

Marketing and Branding Consultant.
Advisory Board members - Contact Dr. Jan Wheeler at 713-851-9792.
Father's Day activity. TBA
Part-time community liaison volunteer - at times, represent the agency at various events & meetings.
Prepare a Sunday evening meal for 3-6 families (Delivery to doors at 5 PM on Sunday). Call Dr. Wheeler at 713-851-9792.
Spring Events Committee Members: Bingo by the Bay and 4th Annual Fun Run.

The Sanctuary Foster Care

Foster Family events: art and field days, holiday parties, swim days.
Food sponsors for real estate, church, and business luncheons, and foster family events
